Surgery of the silhouette in Mougins

ABDOMINOPLASTY

An abdominoplasty removes excess skin and fat from the abdominal wall. This surgery is systematically associated with liposuction of the flanks.

Abdominoplasty also returns the tension to the abdominal muscles which improves the cosmetic result of the abdominoplasty.

Note that this surgical procedure preserves the navel which is repositioned at the end of the operation.

The abdominal scar is generally comparable to an “extended” caesarean scar and is generally not visible because it is hidden by underwear.

Practical information :

  • General anaesthesia
  • Duration of the procedure : 2 hrs 30 mins
  • Hospitalisation : 1 to 2 days
  • Location of scars : See photo opposite
  • Recovery time : 7-15 days
Compression stockings must be worn for 15 days to 1 month after surgery.

LIPOASPIRATION

Lipoaspiration or liposuction removes the excess fat located in the abdomen, hip, saddlebags, thighs and inner knees. The skin in these areas will then gradually redrape the subcutaneous tissues, the volume of which is reduced by liposuction.

The scars from this procedure are generally very inconspicuous.

In order to obtain the best possible result, a compression garment should be worn in the weeks following the procedure.

Practical information :

  • General anaesthesia
  • Duration of the procedure : 90 mins – 3 hrs
  • Hospitalisation : Outpatient
  • Location of scars : Short scars in the areas to be treated (see photo opposite)
  • Recovery time : 4-7 days

ARM LIFT

An arm lift or brachioplasty helps tighten the skin on the arms and removes excess skin. This procedure is consistently combined with liposuction in the treated area.

This procedure is often necessary after significant weight loss. The scar is often discreet, hidden on the inner side of the arm.

Practical information :

  • General anaesthesia
  • Duration of the procedure : 2 hrs 30 mins
  • Hospitalisation : Outpatient or 1 to 2 days in hospital as appropriate
  • Location of scars : See photo opposite
  • Duration of convalescence: 7 to 10 days

THIGH LIFT

A thigh lift or cruroplasty allows the skin to be redraped over the thighs and removes excess skin.

This procedure is often necessary after significant weight loss and is systematically associated with liposuction of persistent fat in the operated area. The scar is discreetly hidden in the inner thigh.

Practical information :

  • General anaesthesia
  • Duration of the procedure : 2 hrs 30 mins
  • Hospitalisation : Outpatient or 1 to 2 days in hospital as appropriate
  • Location of scars : See photo opposite
  • Recovery time: 7-15 days A compression garment must be worn for 1 month.

LIPOMODELLING OR FAT INJECTIONS

Lipomodelling or fat injections can increase the volume and thus improve the cosmetic appearance of certain areas of the body. Lipomodelling can improve the appearance of the buttocks or calves. In some cases, it is also possible to increase the volume of the breasts using lipomodelling.

Firstly, the fat is removed through liposuction from an area defined by you and your surgeon.

The fat is then treated before being injected into the desired region.

Practical information :

  • General anaesthesia
  • Duration of the procedure : 2 hrs – 3 hrs 30 mins
  • Hospitalisation : Outpatient 1 to 2 days in hospital as appropriate
  • Recovery time : 7-10 days
